Alex Garfinkle is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Select Events Basketball. He is responsible for handling day-to-day business operations at Select Events. Prior to co-founding Select Events Basketball in 2017, Alex worked as the New England Regional Director at Zero Gravity Basketball for five years. Alex is originally from Newton, Massachusetts and is a 2012 graduate of Penn State University, with a degree in Psychology and Business.

CO-FOUNDER/DIRECTOR
Matt Shocket is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Select Events Basketball. Matt is one of the titans of girls’ grassroots basketball. He is a founding member of the Girls Under Armour Association and the Select 40. Prior to co-founding Select Events Basketball in 2017, Matt worked as the Tri-State Regional Director at Zero Gravity Basketball for five years. Matt grew up in Newton, Massachusetts.
ZACH PARK
DIRECTOR
Zach Park is the Director of Select Events Basketball. His roles include day-to-day operations, sales, and business development. Zach has been working at Select Events since its inception in 2017. Zach grew up in Durham, New Hampshire and is a 2017 graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in Sport Management. He was a three-year student manager for the men’s basketball team.
KENNETH PANNELL
DIRECTOR OF MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL
Kenneth Pannell started with Select Events in 2021 as the Director of Middle School. He has spent more than 10 years contributing to the culture of women’s basketball, including his work with the nationally recognized Rose Classic brand. Kenneth’s presence has recently expanded with his addition to the ESPN HoopGurlz team as a national evaluator and a voter on the McDonald’s All-American committee. Kenneth grew up in Hurt, Virginia and is a 1994 graduate of Old Dominion University.
ANGELA SANTA FE
NORTHEAST DIRECTOR
Angela Santa Fe joined Select Events as the Director of the Northeast Region in 2021. For eight years prior, Angela was the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Regis College. In her tenure, Regis advanced to the NCAA tournament four times after winning consecutive Conference Championships. Angela is a four-time Conference Coach of the Year. As a player and graduate of the University of Southern Maine, Angela helped lead the Huskies to three straight runs in the NCAA Tournament, including competing in the National Championship game in 2006.
Originally from Derry, New Hampshire, Santa Fe graduated with a Master’s Degree of Organizational and Professional Communication from Regis College in 2012.

MIDWEST DIRECTOR
Spencer Hogan started with Select Events in 2021 as the Director of the Midwest Region. Prior to coming on board with Select he worked as a Co-Op for Zero Gravity assisting with running the Adidas Junior Gauntlet. A graduate of Lock Haven University with a degree in Sports Management, he recently completed his MBA from SUNY Cortland in 2019. Spencer was born and raised in Binghamton, New York.

Texas & West Coast Director
Andrew is in his first year at Select Events Basketball, serving as the Texas Regional Director. Prior to coming on board to Select, he worked in Operations for the Washington Nationals.
Andrew is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in Sport Management and Operations Management. He recently completed his master’s in Sport Administration from Ohio University. Andrew was born and raised in Smyrna, DE.

Director of Operations
Peter Clear is the Director of Operations with Select Events. He has been with Select since early 2022, starting as an Associate Director. His role focuses on day-to-day operations and business development. Peter is originally from Sudbury, MA, and is a 2019 graduate of Ohio University with a degree in Communications and Sports Journalism.

Regional Director Mid-America
Caden is in his first year as the Regional Director for Select Events Basketball for the Mid-America region, overseeing operations and growth within the region. Graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Sports Marketing and Management, Caden was also a member of Indiana’s women’s practice squad team his senior year. Caden brings a strong educational background and passion for basketball to his leadership role.

Ben is a recent graduate of the University of New Hampshire where he studied Business Management. At UNH he was a 4-year manager with the men’s basketball team, spending the last two years as head manager, assisting with all tasks but focused on the operational side of the team. Ben was born and raised in Ithaca, New York
